Cast your own 'imaging phantom' from a mould
An imaging phantom is a specially designed object that is scanned in a medical scanner and used to evaluate the performance of machines.
During this workshop participants will be given information about how the machine senses undetectable properties between atoms and the scanner's magnetic field. Using a range of different materials including sponges, wood, plasticine and glue, participants will make and use moulds to create their own wax cast phantoms that they can take home or allow to be used in ongoing research.
Due to limited capacity sign up is required on the day. Workshop times are 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm & 3.30pm.
